Description
Fluke 972B / 972ES: temperature, humidity, and dew point in one meter
The Fluke 972B is a thermo-hygrometer for HVAC technicians and facility teams who check indoor conditions. It measures temperature from -30 °C to 65 °C with the internal sensor, or from -40 °C to 99.9 °C with the external sensor, at ±0.5 °C accuracy. It reads humidity from 0 to 99.9% RH, with ±3% RH accuracy between 20 and 80% RH, and it calculates dew point and wet bulb. It stores up to 99 readings and has Max/Min/Avg and an auto-logging mode. The 972ES is the external sensor on its own. In UAE data centres, cold stores, and pharma warehouses, teams use the 972B to show that rooms stay within their temperature and RH limits, and the dew-point reading helps them catch condensation risk on chilled-water lines before it causes damage.

Fluke 972B FAQ
What is the difference between the Fluke 972A, 972B and 972ES?
The 972A has an internal sensor only. The 972B adds an external probe, dew point and wet bulb, 99-set memory, and auto-logging. The 972ES is the external sensor on its own.
How long can the 972B log automatically?
Fluke specifies auto-logging for up to 8 hours of automatic temperature and humidity monitoring. That is long enough to cover a shift in a server room, cold store or warehouse.
How accurate is the Fluke 972B?
Temperature accuracy is ±0.5 °C from -30 °C to 65 °C. Humidity accuracy is ±3% RH between 20% and 80% RH at 25 °C, and ±5% RH outside that band up to 95% RH.
Does the 972B calculate dew point?
Yes. It shows dew point from -40.0 °C to 99.9 °C and wet bulb from -20.0 °C to 60.0 °C. Technicians in the UAE use the dew-point reading to check condensation risk on chilled-water pipes and AHUs.
What battery does it use?
It runs on 2 × AAA batteries, rated for 1000 hours of continuous operation with the backlight off.
