Overview
The Kyoritsu KEW 2210R is a true-RMS AC clamp meter built around a flexible current sensor rather than a rigid jaw. The thin, flexible coil wraps easily around large busbars, tightly grouped cables and awkwardly shaped conductors up to 150 mm across — places a conventional clamp cannot reach — making it ideal for high-current industrial installations, switchboards and busbar systems.
The KEW 2210R measures AC current on 30 / 300 / 3000 A ranges through its flexible sensor, along with AC voltage, resistance and continuity. True-RMS conversion gives accurate readings on distorted waveforms across a 45 to 500 Hz range, and a backlit display with MIN/MAX and data-hold functions makes it practical in the field. A high CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V safety rating and 5000 A (10 s) overload protection add robustness, while two AAA batteries power the lightweight 300 g display unit.
