Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 5050-00 is an Ior leakage-current logger for continuously monitoring earth-leakage current in live electrical installations. Total measured leakage (Io) includes both a harmless capacitive component and a resistive component (Ior) that reflects genuine insulation deterioration. By separating and logging the Ior component, the KEW 5050 pinpoints real insulation problems that a simple leakage measurement would miss — making it a powerful tool for predictive maintenance and reducing nuisance earth-leakage trips.

The KEW 5050-00 is the logger unit (a multi-channel model) and is used with Kyoritsu Ior clamp sensors such as the KEW 8177 (40 mm) or KEW 8178 (68 mm). It records leakage data over time to an SD card and transfers it to a PC by USB for trend analysis. It can be powered from its AC adapter for long-term monitoring or from AA batteries, and is supplied for unattended logging on distribution boards and feeders.
