Kyoritsu KEW 2300R True-RMS AC/DC Fork Current Tester

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 2300R is a slim, lightweight true-RMS fork current tester. Instead of a closed clamp jaw it uses an open “fork” that simply slides onto a conductor, making it perfect for crowded connection boxes and consumer units where cables are short and there is no room to close a conventional clamp around them. At just 110 g it is easy to carry and use one-handed in tight spaces.

The KEW 2300R measures both AC and DC current up to 100 A on conductors up to 10 mm, with true-RMS conversion for accuracy on distorted waveforms and a zero-adjust function for DC measurements. A built-in non-contact voltage detector with an audible tone warns of live AC (Lo 20–300 V / Hi 80–300 V) before you touch a conductor. Data hold, auto power-off and a CAT III 300 V safety rating round out a practical everyday tester.
