Kyoritsu KEW 8125 Load Current Clamp Sensor (500 A)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 8125 is a load current clamp sensor used to measure AC current without breaking the circuit. Clamped around a conductor, it outputs a low-level voltage proportional to the current flowing, which is fed to a compatible Kyoritsu power meter or power quality analyzer. Its 40 mm jaw suits it to typical distribution cables and mid-size busbars.

The KEW 8125 is rated for AC current up to 500 A with an output ratio of 1 mV/A over a 40 Hz to 1 kHz range, a high accuracy of ±0.5% at 50/60 Hz and a tight phase shift (within ±1.0°) for accurate power measurement. It connects via an approximately 3 m lead terminated in a MINI DIN 6-pin plug and is designed for use with Kyoritsu instruments such as the KEW 5010, 5020, 5050, 6300, 6305, 6310 and 6315.
