Megger DLRO10 10 A digital low resistance ohmmeter (DUCTER) for contact and bond testing. Genuine Megger — ask MME UAE for price and availability.
The Megger DLRO10 is a rugged 10 A digital low-resistance ohmmeter (DUCTER™) built for high-precision micro-ohm and milliohm measurements in demanding field environments. Engineered to verify the integrity of switchgear, breaker contacts, busbar joints, and cable splices, it delivers fast, repeatable results where fractional resistance matters. As an authorized Megger representative in the UAE, MME stocks this instrument locally with full technical support, local warranty, and swift delivery across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the GCC.
Substation & Field Use Case: During high-voltage switchgear commissioning, a maintenance engineer connects the four-terminal duplex spikes across an SF6 breaker pole and injects a 10 A d.c. test current. The unit automatically averages forward and reverse polarity readings in under three seconds to cancel out thermal EMF interference, verifying that contact resistance sits comfortably within engineering limits before energization.

Low-resistance testing identifies deteriorating joints before thermal runaway triggers equipment downtime. Typical applications include:
Both instruments deliver the same core measurement accuracy and robust 10 A output, but differ in reporting and interface depth:
MOHAMMAD MAHDI Electronics Trading LLC (MME) supplies genuine test instruments across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and regional GCC markets. We support industrial clients with:
A standard multimeter measures resistance using low current, which is often insufficient to penetrate surface oxidation on switchgear contacts or busbars. Furthermore, a multimeter cannot eliminate the resistance of the test leads themselves. The Megger DLRO10 utilizes a 4-wire Kelvin measurement method, injecting a true 10 A d.c. test current to break through surface films and automatically canceling out lead resistance to provide accurate micro-ohm readings.
When measuring very low resistances (micro-ohms), the connection of dissimilar metals (e.g., copper and steel) can generate a "thermal EMF" voltage, which distorts the reading. The DLRO10 automatically reverses the test current polarity and averages the readings, effectively canceling out this thermal voltage interference to ensure the measurement reflects pure contact resistance.
For industrial compliance, safety audits, and adherence to NETA/IEC maintenance standards, it is recommended to have your DLRO10 calibrated annually (every 12 months). MME can provide support regarding official calibration certifications for your units to ensure they meet your site's quality assurance requirements.
