The Megger MFT1721 is a rugged multifunction installation tester that adds 2-wire high-current L-N loop testing to the MFT1700 platform, giving faster, accurate loop results on circuits without an RCD. Compliant with IEC 61557 and BS 7671, it covers insulation, continuity, no-trip loop impedance, RCD and true-RMS voltage testing in one dependable instrument for everyday installation work.

• Insulation testing — 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V test voltages measuring up to 999 MΩ.
• Continuity & resistance — selectable 200 mA or 15 mA test current, 0.01 Ω to 99.9 kΩ.
• Non-trip & high-current loop — 2- and 3-wire non-tripping L-PE plus 2-wire high-current L-N loop testing, 0.01 Ω to 1000 Ω.
• RCD testing — Types AC, A and S with test currents from 10 mA to 1000 mA.
• True-RMS voltage — 10–600 V true-RMS measurement, 15–400 Hz.
• CAT IV 300 V safety — rated CAT IV 300 V / CAT III 600 V with an IP54 sealed case.
• Rugged & portable — approximately 1 kg, −10 °C to +55 °C operation.
• Series options — MFT1731/1741 add Type B RCD, phase-to-phase loop, earth-electrode testing, Bluetooth and Confidence Meter™.
