Overview
The Megger TDM45 is a high-power test and diagnosis combination for medium-voltage cables, rated up to 45 kV. It unites withstand testing, sheath testing and advanced diagnostics in one modular system, so utilities and contractors can prove new cables, assess the condition of in-service circuits and locate sheath faults from a single portable platform.
A base module provides VLF sinusoidal (up to 45 kV peak / 32 kV RMS) and DC (±45 kV) test voltages, and an optional boost module raises VLF cosine-rectangular output to 40 kV RMS for testing cables up to 20 km. Optional internal tan delta step testing with automatic IEEE 400.2 interpretation, and partial-discharge diagnostics (VLF sine, damped AC, 50/60 Hz slope) with live localization and PRPD display, give a full picture of insulation condition. Intuitive software, large memory and one-click reporting complete the package.
