Overview
The Megger Teleflex SX-1 is a portable, high-performance cable fault prelocation reflectometer used to locate faults on power cables. It combines classic time-domain reflectometry (TDR) with the advanced high-voltage methods needed for real cable faults – arc reflection (ARM multishot and burning), impulse-current decoupling (ICE), decay and phase comparison – plus partial-discharge pinpointing, all in one rugged handheld unit.
A measurement range up to 160 km with 0.1 m resolution, 400 MHz sampling and over 96 dB dynamic range (with ProRange de-attenuation) let it resolve faults precisely, even far down the cable. A bright, anti-glare 10.1-inch colour touchscreen with an intuitive pie-chart interface and single jog-dial makes operation quick, while an IP65-rated body and Li-Ion battery suit demanding field conditions.
