Description

Overview

The Megger digiPHONE+2 NT Set is a professional cable fault pinpointing system that combines acoustic and electromagnetic methods to locate underground cable faults precisely. Using a ground sound sensor together with magnetic pulse recording, it lets cable fault teams pinpoint the exact fault position after pre-location, cutting excavation time and cost.

Key features of the Megger digiPHONE+2 NT system

Combined acoustic and electromagnetic (magnetic pulse) fault pinpointing
Intelligent background-noise reduction — up to 30 dB noise reduction while amplifying the fault signal by up to 20 dB
DPP-SU ground sound sensor with selectable ground adapters and adjustable telescopic handle
Colour display with cable compass, fault arrow and time-difference readout
Automatic Proximity Mute and switchable 84 dB(A) acoustic limit for hearing protection
NT set adds ESG earth rods for voltage-gradient sheath fault pinpointing and Bluetooth active-noise-cancelling headphones

digiPHONE+2 NT cable fault location applications

The digiPHONE+2 NT is used to pinpoint faults on medium- and high-voltage power cables after pre-location with a surge generator. The acoustic method locates the discharge point of the surge, while the electromagnetic method and ESG earth rods help pinpoint sheath faults, making it ideal for utility cable teams and contractors.

What’s in the box (NT Set)

digiPHONE+2 NT vs NTRX

The NT set provides the acoustic and electromagnetic pinpointing package with ESG earth rods and Bluetooth headphones. The Megger digiPHONE+2 NTRX set adds the Ferrolux receiver with current-direction detection, laying-depth display, frequency scan and probe mode, plus GPS coordinate storage.
