The MEGGER MFM10 Sheath Fault Location System is a sophisticated and efficient tool designed for the testing, pre-location, and pinpointing of sheath faults in cables. Renowned for its ease of use, precision, and speed, the MFM10 employs the menu-supported ‘Easy Go’ test system. This intuitive interface simplifies operation, allowing users to quickly interpret results with minimal training. Consequently, the MFM10 enables automatic testing of cables, accurate evaluation of measured data, and provides a fast, reliable means to assess cable sheath insulation and identify faults.

One of the standout features of the MFM10 is its bipolar pre-location capability. This advanced feature enhances the detection of galvanic and thermoelectric influences, thereby improving the accuracy and quality of pre-location efforts. The system also supports a multi-section facility, allowing for the entry of cable segments with varying parameters, which is particularly useful for managing complex cable networks.

For difficult cable faults, the MFM10 offers a high current output of up to 750 mA, which can effectively ‘burn’ through challenging faults to facilitate accurate pinpointing. Moreover, the integrated protocolling feature, in conjunction with the approved MeggerBook RE software, allows for the seamless generation of comprehensive test reports. This functionality ensures that all test data is meticulously documented and easily accessible for review and analysis.
