Megger TRS1 Transformer Ratio Standard

Overview

The Megger TRS1 is a high-accuracy reference ratio standard used to calibrate and verify transformer turns-ratio (TTR) test sets and ratio meters. It gives calibration laboratories and field engineers a dependable way to confirm that a ratio tester is reading correctly, whether as a bench calibration reference or as a rugged, portable check standard carried to site alongside the instrument being verified.

The TRS1 provides precise, traceable ratios with an accuracy of ±0.01% across its whole range and a four-terminal (Kelvin) connection that removes the need for lead compensation. Depending on variant it offers step-down ratios from 1:1 to 2048:1 and step-up ratios from 1:1 to 32:1, and it works as a universal standard with any single-phase or three-phase ratio meter. Three-phase instruments are checked using single-phase excitation, or three units can be combined for Wye-Wye testing. Its compact, rugged construction makes it equally suited to laboratory and field work.
