The PCE-CT 5000H is a thickness measurement device specifically designed for quickly measuring the thickness of coatings on both ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metals. This coating thickness gauge can automatically identify the type of metal under measurement. It employs magnetic induction for ferrous metals and eddy current methods for non-ferrous metals, allowing for non-destructive measurements of coating and dry film thickness (DFT) on metallic bases like steel and aluminum.

This thickness gauge is perfect for applications such as manufacturing quality control, automotive paint inspection, testing coated materials, and testing painted and powder-coated surfaces. The coating thickness gauge has alarm limits that can be set to alert the user when a coating is too thin or too thick. A warning message alerts the user if a coating thickness measurement deviates from the specified bounds.
