The UNI-T UT685B KIT is a handheld TDR Cable Tester designed for professionals installing and maintaining copper communication networks. Utilizing advanced Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology, this device can measure cable length and pinpoint the exact distance to a fault (open or short circuit) without the need for a remote unit, supporting lengths up to 500 meters.
Ideal for testing Twisted Pair (UTP/STP), Coaxial, and Telephone cables, the UT685B KIT goes beyond simple continuity testing. It features comprehensive POE detection to identify power standards and voltage on active networks. The kit includes a receiver for wire tracking (toning) and “Port Flash” functionality to locate corresponding ports on switches/routers. With a large 2.8-inch backlit display and the ability to store 1000 data sets, the UT685B KIT is the ultimate diagnostic tool for network infrastructure.
