Megger TSX300 TRAX Switch Box

Overview

The Megger TSX300 is a switch box designed to work with the TRAX multifunction transformer and substation test system. Connected once to a transformer’s bushings, it switches the TRAX test leads so that different phases and taps can be measured without climbing up to re-connect leads between tests. This shortens the overall test time and improves operator safety by reducing the number of manual connections that must be made at the transformer.

Working with TRAX, the TSX300 supports the same core transformer measurements — winding resistance measurement up to 16 A, transformer turns ratio up to 250 V and demagnetization — with the test sequence driven from the TRAX system. It is part of the same accessory family as the eight-terminal TSX-303 automatic switch box, which extends coverage to transformers with up to three windings.
