Megger SVERKER 780 Relay and Substation Test System

Overview

The Megger SVERKER 780 is a versatile single-phase relay and substation test system that builds on the field-proven SVERKER 750 platform. It provides precise current, voltage and phase outputs – up to 250 A and an enhanced 5–220 V AC source with continuous phase shift – so protection engineers can test virtually all types of protective relays, including frequency relays that the 750 cannot cover.

Variable frequency from 15 to 550 Hz makes the 780 suitable for testing frequency and voltage relays across a wide range, while its integrated timer, precise metering and directional-test capability handle overcurrent, earth-fault, differential, distance and reclosing protection. Auxiliary DC powers the relay under test, and two units can be synchronised for basic three-phase testing, making the SVERKER 780 a capable, portable substation test tool.
