Overview

The Megger SMRT1 is a lightweight, portable single-phase relay test system built around a powerful high-current source. Weighing under 4 kg, it is designed to test the full range of protective relays – electromechanical, solid-state and microprocessor-based – including overcurrent, distance, directional, differential, frequency and synchronising types, making it a versatile field and workshop tool for protection engineers.

Its current channel delivers up to 32 A continuously (60 A peak) with a flat power curve, while a convertible voltage channel provides up to 300 V or acts as a second current source. A high-precision timer and low-level outputs for low-energy relays round out its capabilities. The SMRT1 is operated with the Smart Touch View Interface (STVI) handheld controller or PC-based RTMS software; the SMRT1D variant adds an integrated on-board touchscreen.
