Kyoritsu KEW 2432 AC Leakage Clamp Meter

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 2432 is a high-resolution AC leakage clamp meter for measuring the small earth-leakage currents that indicate deteriorating insulation. Its 40 mm jaw clamps around single conductors or complete circuits, and with a resolution down to 0.001 mA it can pick up leakage far too small for a standard clamp meter — making it well suited to insulation-fault finding, preventive maintenance and safety testing.

The KEW 2432 measures AC current on 4 mA, 40 mA and 100 A ranges, so it detects tiny leakage currents and also measures normal load current. A frequency-selector switch filters out harmonics so that only the true leakage component is displayed, giving cleaner readings, while a data-hold function freezes values and a roughly 2-second response keeps measurements quick. It is rated to CAT III 300 V (up to 600 V AC/DC) and runs from two AAA batteries.
