Megger TXL865 Extra Load Unit for TORKEL Battery Test Systems

Overview

The Megger TXL865 is an extra load unit designed to increase the current capacity of Megger TORKEL battery test systems. When a battery bank draws more current than a single TORKEL can sink, one or more TXL units are connected to share the load, allowing large stationary battery installations to be discharge-tested to their full rated capacity. The TXL865 connects directly to the battery, while the TORKEL continues to control and measure the test through a clamp-on ammeter.

The TXL865 is rated for 48 V systems and adds up to 165 A of load current. Multiple TXL units can be linked to reach combined currents of up to several kA, with automatic overload protection safeguarding the equipment. Mains powered and built for field use, it works seamlessly under the control of the TORKEL system and its TORKEL Viewer software so the whole discharge test is logged and reported as one.
