Fluke AC175 Alligator Clip Set

Fluke AC175 Alligator Clip Set Overview

The Fluke AC175 is a pair of insulated alligator clips (red and black) that slide or thread onto your test probes. They give you a hands-free connection to terminals, wires and component legs, so you can watch the meter instead of holding the probes. The jaws open to 7 mm, the contacts are nickel-plated steel, and the clips are rated CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V, 10 A.

• Works with Fluke TL71 premium test leads and the TL75 leads supplied with many Fluke meters

Which Clip Should You Choose?

For wider jaws and a SureGrip overmold, see the Fluke AC285 SureGrip alligator clips. For small terminals on PCBs, use the Fluke AC283 SureGrip pincer clips or the Fluke TL940 mini-hook test leads. For insulated cable, the Fluke AC89 insulation piercing clip pierces the insulation. Clips work with meters such as the Fluke 87V and the Fluke 325 clamp meter.

Typical Applications

• Hands-free voltage checks on panels and terminals
• Long continuity or resistance tests
• Motor and control circuit troubleshooting
• Connecting process meters to loop terminals

Safety Tip

The lowest rating in your setup applies: meter, leads and clips must all be rated for the circuit. Connect the clips with the circuit de-energised where possible. Read our guide to electrical safety standards and CAT ratings.
