Hioki ST4030A Impulse Winding Tester

Overview

The Hioki ST4030A Impulse Winding Tester detects the existence of layer shorts between coil windings — defects commonly found in motors and inductors. It works by capturing a master waveform from a reference coil after applying an impulse voltage, then comparing the measured waveform from the device under test against it, allowing pass/fail decisions to be made easily and accurately.

With an applied voltage range up to 4200 V, a wide testable inductance range and a high-resolution 8.4-inch color touch panel, the ST4030A is a powerful tool for quality inspection of windings on the production line and in the laboratory.
