Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 2200R is an ultra-slim, lightweight AC digital clamp meter that adds a backlit display to the popular slim-line 2200 design, making readings easy in dimly lit panels and plant rooms. At just 20 mm thick and around 120 g it is exceptionally portable, while its teardrop-shaped 33 mm jaw reads AC current up to 1000 A without disconnecting the circuit — a practical everyday tool for electricians and maintenance staff.

The KEW 2200R measures AC current on 40 / 400 / 1000 A ranges, AC and DC voltage up to 600 V, resistance up to 40 MΩ and continuity, all with auto-ranging. A backlight and data-hold function make working in poor light and recording values straightforward, and a high CAT IV 300 V / CAT III 600 V safety rating suits it to installation work up to the supply origin. Two AAA batteries keep it running for long periods.
