Kyoritsu KEW 4105DL Digital Earth Resistance Tester (Data Logging)

Overview

The Kyoritsu KEW 4105DL is a rugged digital earth (ground) resistance tester with data-logging built in. It measures the earth resistance of grounding electrodes and systems in electrical installations, substations and lightning-protection systems, and stores the results in internal memory for transfer to a PC or mobile device by Bluetooth or USB — ideal for engineers who need to record and report many earth measurements. Supplied as a cable-reel set, it keeps the auxiliary-spike leads tidy and quick to deploy.

The KEW 4105DL measures earth resistance on 20 Ω, 200 Ω and 2000 Ω ranges (0.01 to 2000 Ω) using the 3-pole or 2-pole fall-of-potential method, with LED monitoring to confirm the auxiliary earth-spike resistance is acceptable. It also measures earth voltage up to 300 V AC/DC. A large backlit LCD, an exceptionally rugged IP67 (dust- and water-proof) housing and a CAT IV 100 V / CAT III 150 V / CAT II 300 V rating make it dependable in the harshest field conditions. It runs from six AA batteries.
