Megger ADX-4 Automated Static Motor Analyser

Overview

The Megger ADX-4 is an automated static motor analyser for testing motor windings, coils, assembled motors and generators. Built for OEMs, maintenance engineers, repair shops and field-service teams, it brings a full suite of static electrical tests together in one instrument for verification, validation, fault-finding and research, guided by a large daylight-viewable touchscreen and automated test sequences that make thorough testing fast and repeatable.

The “-4” denotes a nominal maximum surge test voltage of 4 kV, making the ADX-4 the entry model of the family (below the 6 kV, 12 kV and 15 kV versions) and well suited to low-voltage motors. Alongside surge testing it performs DC insulation resistance (with Polarisation Index and Dielectric Absorption), DC HiPot and — on the optional -RLC and -PD variants — winding resistance, inductance, capacitance and partial-discharge measurement to IEC 61934. Results are managed through PowerDB cloud software for configuration, reporting and trend analysis, and the analyser can be coupled with a Megger Baker PPX to extend surge testing up to 40 kV.
