Overview

The Megger OCR50D is a high-capacity, self-contained mobile test set built to verify the correct operation of automatic circuit reclosers. Rated at 50 kVA with a short-time overload capability to 150 kVA, it delivers a test current of up to 2800 A, letting engineers inject high fault currents to confirm that reclosers trip, sequence and lock out exactly as intended.

Like the smaller OCR15D, the OCR50D uses an autoranging electronic timing system and a full-colour touchscreen for minimum-trip, time-current characteristic, sequence and sectionalizer-lockout testing, but its higher output suits the largest direct-acting reclosers. It works with virtually all single-phase and three-phase reclosers from major manufacturers, making it a powerful tool for utility protection and maintenance programmes.
