Overview

The Megger CB-832 is a self-contained primary current injection test set for verifying thermal, magnetic and solid-state overload relays, moulded-case circuit breakers and ground-fault trip devices. A variable high-current output, digital ammeter and crystal-controlled timer make it a practical tool for field and workshop checks of low-voltage protection devices across UAE and GCC installations.

High-current primary injection — switch-selected ranges 0–500 A, 0–125 A and 0–25 A (up to 1800 A for short durations)
Overload & breaker testing — thermal, magnetic and solid-state motor overload relays; moulded-case breakers (to 225 A); ground-fault trip devices
Digital ammeter — 3½-digit LED, 0–1999 A, ±1% with read-and-hold memory
Precision timer — crystal-controlled 5-digit LED timer, ±0.005%, resolving to 1 ms
Extra checks — current-transformer ratio verification and panelboard ammeter/voltmeter checks
Self-contained & portable — 120/240 V single-phase input, approx. 34 kg
