Megger SMRT1D Single-Phase Relay Test System

Overview

The Megger SMRT1D is a lightweight, portable single-phase relay test system that packs a high-current source and a built-in 10.1-inch touchscreen into one compact unit. It is designed to test the full range of protective relays – electromechanical, solid-state and microprocessor-based – including overcurrent, distance, directional, differential, frequency and synchronising types, making it a versatile tool for commissioning and maintaining protection schemes.

Its current channel delivers up to 32 A continuously (60 A peak) with a flat power curve, while a convertible voltage channel provides 300 V or acts as a second current source, giving up to 37 A when paralleled. A high-precision timer, low-level outputs for modern low-energy relays and RTMS software support round out its capabilities. Unlike the SMRT1, the SMRT1D has an integrated touchscreen tablet, so no separate STVI controller or PC is needed during testing.
