Overview
The Megger SMRT33 is a powerful, portable three-phase relay test system designed to test virtually all types of protective relays used in industrial plants, distributed generation and low- to medium-voltage substations. With three independent current channels and three independent voltage channels, it can reproduce full three-phase fault conditions for electromechanical, solid-state and microprocessor-based relays.
Each current channel delivers 32 A continuously (45 A for short durations), and channels can be paralleled for up to 135 A or put in series for higher compliance voltage. Variable-frequency output (DC to 1000 Hz), transient playback, a high-precision timer and options for IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging and GPS-synchronised end-to-end testing make the SMRT33 suitable for both routine and advanced protection testing. It is controlled by the STVI touchscreen or AVTS/RTMS software.
