The digital multimeter is a multimeter with many different functions. You can carry out non-contact current measurements up to 200 A AC with the digital multimeter. This current range of the digital multimeter already covers a wide range of current measurements. Thanks to the non-contact current measurement of the digital multimeter, they can be measured during operation. Therefore, no measurement preparation should be carried out with the digital multimeter, since can be measured directly on the line to be measured.

Another non-contact function of the digital multimeter is the NCV (Non-Connected Voltage) measurement. With this measurement, the digital multimeter can determine whether there is a voltage on a line. Here, too, no measurement preparation should be carried out during operation with the digital multimeter. These two features of the digital multimeter reduce the risk of injury from electric shock.

Other useful functions of the ammeter are resistance measurement and continuity check. For example, the DMM’s continuity test can be used to determine if a relay in a switch box is fully closed. Thanks to the fast measuring frequency of the digital multimeter, any power fluctuations can be determined. This makes the digital multimeter an indispensable tool for all electricians.
