Megger MRCT Current Transformer Test Set — Automatic CT Testing

The Megger MRCT is a lightweight, fully automatic current transformer test set for commissioning and maintaining CTs in substations and industrial installations. In a single connection it measures CT ratio, saturation (excitation) curves, polarity, winding resistance, insulation, burden and phase deviation, and demagnetises the core — all controlled from a colour touchscreen or PowerDB software, to IEC 61869 and IEEE C57.13.

Complete CT test suite — ratio, saturation/excitation, polarity, winding resistance, insulation, burden, phase deviation and demagnetisation.
High excitation output — up to 2000 V AC at 1 A, 60 A current output, plus a 0–300 V DC option for knee points up to 30 kV.
Wide ratio range — 0.8 to 20,000 with ±0.02% typical accuracy.
Winding resistance — 0–30 Ω at 0.5% ±3 mΩ typical.
Standards support — IEEE C57.13.1, IEC 60044-1/-6 and IEC 61869, including PX, TPS, TPX and TPY CTs.
Colour touchscreen control — high-resolution STVI touchscreen showing up to 10 saturation curves, or laptop control via PowerDB.
Connectivity — Ethernet, USB and optional Bluetooth.
Portable — 16.7 kg, 100–264 V input, −10 °C to +50 °C operation.
