Overview

The Megger PCITS2000/2 is a primary current injection test system used to commission and verify complete protection schemes. It delivers a high AC output of up to 2000 A at line frequency, allowing engineers to inject realistic primary currents to prove the operation of circuit breakers, current transformers and protection relays as a complete system.

Output is controlled from a handheld unit with a built-in high-resolution timer, so trip times and relay operation can be measured precisely as current is applied. Programmable current ranges in 10 A steps and a clear dot-matrix display make setup straightforward, while the robust design suits both commissioning and post-repair verification of heavy-current protection systems.
