The Megger MLCA (Low Current Adapter) is a small, lightweight, field-portable accessory that provides multiple precise, very-low-current sources for the Megger MPRT relay test system. Together, the MPRT and MLCA deliver a powerful test capability for very sensitive, extremely low-current relays that require high-accuracy amplitude and phase-angle output.

MLCA low-current relay testing applications

The MLCA is used with the MPRT to test very sensitive, low-current protection relays — such as sensitive earth-fault and specialist current relays — where standard test currents are too high for accurate pick-up and timing measurement. Its precise low-current sources allow accurate amplitude and phase testing during commissioning and maintenance.
