Megger PD Scan Handheld Partial Discharge Scanner

Overview

The Megger PD Scan is a compact, handheld partial discharge scanner used to detect PD activity in medium- and high-voltage equipment before it leads to costly failures. By combining three complementary measurement methods – transient earth voltage (TEV), airborne ultrasonic and high-frequency current transformer (HFCT) – it lets an operator quickly survey switchgear, cables and busbars and identify insulation defects, surface discharge and corona.

A 3.5-inch touchscreen with an integrated camera and QR-code scanner makes it easy to record readings against specific assets, while long battery life, an IP54-rated body and light 420 g weight make it convenient for routine walk-round condition monitoring. Interchangeable and optional sensors extend its reach to encapsulated switchgear and long-range corona detection.
