Description

megger TTR25-1 Hand-held Transformer Turns Ratio Tester

The Megger TTR25-1 is an automatic hand-held battery-operated transformer turns ratio test set. It measures the turns ratio, excitation current, and polarity of windings in single- and three-phase distribution and power transformers (tested phase by phase), potential & current transformers, and tapped transformers.

The unique design of the TTR25-1 allows the user to operate the test set while holding it in one hand. It effectively eliminates the user from kneeling or bending down to operate the instrument and speeds up testing time.

Realizing the extreme environments in which the TTR25-1 must operate, special attention has been paid to making it extra rugged, with a high impact, shock-resistant case, yet incredibly lightweight at a mere 870 g (1.9 lbs).

Megger TTR25-1 Key Features

The Megger TTR25-1 is a highly versatile and portable transformer turns ratio tester specifically designed for on-site testing of power, voltage, and distribution transformers. This hand-held device has become an essential tool for technicians and engineers to ensure that transformers operate efficiently and safely.

  • Portability and Design: The TTR25-1’s compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for field use. It is easy to carry and can be operated with one hand, which is a significant advantage in challenging field conditions.
  • User Interface: Equipped with a clear and intuitive digital display, the TTR25-1 simplifies readings and helps users quickly understand test results. The interface is user-friendly and designed to facilitate both experienced and novice users.
  • Testing Capabilities: This tester can perform a wide range of tests, including the measurement of transformer turns ratios, excitation current, and phase deviation. These are critical metrics for assessing the operational health and efficiency of transformers.
  • Accuracy and Precision: The TTR25-1 delivers highly accurate and repeatable measurements. This precision is vital for detecting potential issues in transformers before they lead to failures, thereby preventing costly downtimes.
  • Battery Operation: Being battery-operated, the TTR25-1 can perform tests in locations without direct power sources, making it exceptionally versatile in field applications.
  • Data Storage and Transfer: It includes features for storing data which can then be transferred to a PC for further analysis. This capability allows for easy documentation and tracking of transformer health over time.
