Megger FRAX 150
The Megger FRAX 150 Sweep Frequency Response Analyzer (SFRA) is a cutting-edge diagnostic instrument designed for comprehensive testing and analysis of power transformers. Utilizing the Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) technique, the FRAX 150 is capable of detecting mechanical and electrical changes in the core, windings, and insulation of transformers, providing invaluable insights into their condition and integrity.
The FRAX series functions by applying a sweep frequency test signal to the transformer and analyzing its response. This process generates a unique fingerprint that, when compared to a reference fingerprint of the same transformer, can uncover various faults. These faults include winding deformations and displacements, shorted or open windings, loose or broken clamping structures, core connection issues, core movement, and hoop buckling.
