Who the Megger DLRO10X with DH4-C kit is for

This kit, Megger order code 1006-600, is for commissioning and maintenance engineers who test busbar joints, breaker contacts, battery straps and bonds on their own. The DLRO10X picks the test current itself, up to 10 A DC, and measures from 0.1 µΩ to 2000 Ω on seven ranges. It applies forward and reverse current and shows both readings and their average within about 3 seconds, which cancels standing EMFs. Auto mode suits the handspikes: each time all four probes touch the joint a new test runs without pressing the button, and the current and potential connections are checked for continuity first. Unidirectional mode (DLRO10X only) speeds up battery-strap work, and inductive mode waits for a winding to settle. On the lit handspike, lamp L1 shows red for poor contact at the C or P tips, and lamp L2 turns green when the current has fallen below 1 mA and the test is complete; with pass bands set on the DLRO10X, L2 shows green for pass and red for fail. Megger does not recommend handspikes for inductive loads; use clip leads there.

Megger’s datasheet figures: accuracy is ±0.2% ±0.2 µΩ on the 1.9999 mΩ range at 10 A, and and ±0.2% plus a few digits on every rangeplusmn;0.2% plus a fixed offset on every range. Test current accuracy is ±10%, and total lead resistance can be up to 100 mΩ at 10 A. A warning shows if 50/60 Hz noise above 100 mV peak is on the potential leads. Up to 700 results are stored with notes of up to 200 characters typed on the keypad, and results go to a PC over RS232 in real time or later. The lithium-ion battery module has its own charge indicator, gives about 1300 tests at 10 A and charges to 90% in 2.5 hours (full in 4 hours) from mains or a 12 to 15 V DC supply. The optional DLRO10LPU replaces the battery pack to run it from 90 to 264 V mains on a production line. Full accuracy runs from +5 to +45 °C. The case is IP65 closed and IP54 on battery, 220 × 100 × 237 mm, 2.6 kg with battery. Megger’s CAT III 600 V rating applies only with DH6 leads; with the DH4-C the instrument is still protected to 600 V.
