Overview
The Megger NIM1000 is a portable network impedance meter designed to measure the impedance of low-voltage supply networks under genuine load conditions. By driving an adjustable test current of up to 1000 A into the network, it determines impedance value and phase, resistance, reactance and the calculated neutral-conductor impedance (ZPEN), giving a true picture of how the supply behaves when loaded.
This makes the NIM1000 particularly valuable for finding load-sensitive and neutral faults that lower-current testers miss, and for confirming good power quality up to the 10th harmonic. A sunlight-readable colour display, wide operating-temperature range and rugged portable case make it suitable for utilities, installers and maintenance teams working on distribution networks.
