Overview
The Megger PAT450 is the most capable instrument in Megger’s PAT400 data-logging range. It performs everything the PAT420 does – earth bond and continuity, insulation, substitute, differential and touch leakage, operational/load, portable RCD, extension-lead and fuse tests, with on-board memory and USB download – and adds flash (dielectric-strength) testing for applications that require high-voltage proof testing.
Flash testing is carried out at 1.5 kV for Class I and 3 kV for Class II appliances, alongside a hard 25 A earth-bond test. A full QWERTY keypad and download to Megger’s PowerSuite software make it ideal for manufacturing, tool hire and organisations that need traceable, paperless records for large numbers of appliances.
