Overview
The Megger SMRT43 is a versatile three-phase relay test system for testing the wide range of protective relays used in industrial and utility substations. Configurable with one, two or three voltage-and-current (VIGEN) modules, it provides up to three current channels and three voltage channels, plus an auxiliary voltage channel, so it can reproduce full three-phase fault conditions for electromechanical, solid-state and microprocessor relays.
Each current channel delivers 32 A continuously (45 A short-time), and channels can be paralleled for up to 135 A. Variable-frequency output (DC to 1000 Hz), COMTRADE transient playback, a high-precision timer and options for IEC 61850 GOOSE and GPS end-to-end testing make it suitable for both routine and advanced protection work. It can even be interconnected with additional SMRT units for up to 30 current channels, and is controlled by the STVI touchscreen or AVTS/RTMS software.
