Megger MIT430/2 Insulation Tester — CAT IV Flagship with Bluetooth

The Megger MIT430/2 is the flagship of the MIT400/2 range, a rugged CAT IV 600 V insulation and continuity tester with result storage and Bluetooth wireless download. The Megger MIT430/2 (order code 1004-740) is for electrical contractors, maintenance planners and QA inspectors who test low-voltage installations, motors and control wiring up to 1 kV and want results to leave site as a file rather than a handwritten sheet. In the MIT400/2 family it is the only model that sends stored readings over Bluetooth into a CSV file that opens in Excel, which suits teams handing test records to clients or a maintenance system.

What format do downloaded results come in? A CSV file through the Megger Downloader software, which opens directly as an Excel spreadsheet.
Will it start an insulation test on a live circuit? No. Test inhibit blocks it above a user-set level of 25, 30, 50, 75 or 100 V (50 V by default), and live voltage is displayed on every range.
Can I use rechargeable cells? Yes. It takes six AA alkaline or NiMH cells and is the model in the range that accepts the optional line charger kit.
Is it suitable for medium-voltage motors? It tests up to 1000 V. For higher-voltage assets choose the 2.5 kV MIT2500 or the 5 kV MIT515/2.
