Megger TDX120 Dielectric Test Set

Overview

The Megger TDX120 is a 12 kV dielectric test set used to assess the condition of high-voltage insulation through capacitance and dissipation-factor (tan delta / power factor) measurement. It is designed to work alongside the Megger TRAX multifunction platform, extending its capabilities for insulation diagnostics of transformers, bushings, cables, current and voltage transformers and other HV assets.

The TDX120 provides variable-frequency output (1–505 Hz) up to 12 kV AC, allowing tests to be made away from interfering power-line frequencies for cleaner results. It measures capacitance, dissipation factor, inductance, power and watt loss with high accuracy, and an optional resonating inductor extends its output to 4 A at 12 kV for high-capacitance test objects. Power-over-Ethernet control and a rugged, portable design make it practical for substation and industrial use.
