Fluke 705 Loop Calibrator

The Fluke 705 is a cost-effective, integrated solution for calibrating, repairing, and maintaining milliamp loops. It has a large screen and a simple user interface with buttons for easy operation. It also provides the other features you need most to calibrate your mA loops including:

  • mA sourcing, simulation, and measurement
  • 0.02% accuracy and 0.001 mA resolution
  • Simultaneous mA and % of span display
  • Selectable step or ramp outputs
  • 24 V Loop supply with mA measure
  • 0-28 VDC measurement to check Loop Voltage
  • Easy battery exchange without opening the case
  • Includes “span check” for fast confirmation of zero and span.
  • Provides selectable slow ramp, fast ramp, and step to provide smooth outputs for valve slewing and loop functional tests.
  • Includes a 24-volt internal loop supply, so you can power and read a transmitter at the same time without a DMM.
  • Runs on a single 9 V battery that is easily changed without breaking the calibration seal
  • Offers 0 – 20 mA or 4 – 20 mA default start-up modes
  • Comes with a protective yellow holster with test lead storage and a three-year warranty

And you get all of that in a compact case with a separate protective holster and a three-year warranty

fluke 705 vs 707

The Fluke 705 and Flue 707 both provide similar functionality. The only difference is the physical size, which is a matter of preference. The 705 measures 2.5 x 2.25 x 2 inches and weighs 0.3 lbs while the 707 measures 3 x 3 x 3 inches and weighs slightly more at 0.6 lbs. You can check Fluke 705 price from our website.

how to use fluke 705 loop calibrator

The Fluke 705 is a cost-effective, integrated solution for calibrating, repairing, and maintaining milliamp loops. It has a large screen and a simple user interface with buttons for easy operation. It also provides the other features you need most for calibrating mA loops,  To test a transmitter in this mode:

  • turn on the loop power
  • select the mA measurement.
  • Disconnect the transmitter from the loop and connect the test leads to the transmitter power terminals. Be careful when connecting them with the Correct polarity (black to negative, red to positive).
What does a loop calibrator do?

Loop calibrators are capable of measuring current, supplying current to non-loop-powered devices, and simulating 4-20mA loop powered transmitters. Loop calibrators are a type of electrical calibrators specifically designed for troubleshooting 4-20mA current loops.
