Megger SDRM201 Resistance Measurement Accessory

Overview

The Megger SDRM201 is an accessory that adds static and dynamic resistance measurement (SRM and DRM) to circuit-breaker testing with the Megger EGIL breaker analyser. It injects a high DC current directly across the breaker’s main contacts and measures the voltage drop as the breaker operates, calculating resistance as a function of time – a powerful way to reveal wear on the arcing contacts of high-voltage circuit breakers.

Because the SDRM technique measures dynamic resistance during the breaker’s own operation, it can assess arcing-contact condition without dismantling the breaker, saving significant time. Delivering up to 500 A DC instantaneously, the SDRM201 is intended for use in high-voltage substations and industrial environments as part of a complete breaker-analysis workflow.
