The Mitutoyo 532-102 Vernier caliper offers high-precision measurement of external, internal, depth, and step dimensions with a durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel body. Featuring a 14° face angle, raised scales, and optional carbide-tipped jaws, it supports both inch and metric readings—making it ideal for engineering, manufacturing, and lab work.
The Mitutoyo Vernier scale caliper is intended for exact measurements of exterior and interior dimensions, as well as depth and step. Because of its cutting-edge capabilities and high-caliber construction, it is an important instrument across a wide range of fields and applications. Here, we will discuss the most useful characteristics and advantages of the Mitutoyo 532-102 Vernier caliper, as well as its many variants and a variety of accessories that are available as options.
The caliper has a fine adjustment carriage that enables users to make very precise adjustments to the slider, resulting in incredibly accurate readings from the instrument. When working with fragile things or in situations that call for a high degree of accuracy, this capability comes in very handy.
The Vernier caliper from Mitutoyo features a face angle of 14 degrees, which not only makes it simpler to read measurement values but also helps reduce the likelihood of parallax mistake occurring. This guarantees that the measurements are collected from the appropriate viewpoint, which in turn leads to findings that are more accurate.
The scales of the Mitutoyo 532-102 caliper have been elevated to allow for smooth sliding, which makes it easy and fast to make changes to the measurements. In addition, the raised scales shield the delicate graduation markers, which ensures that they will last for a long time and remain accurate.
The caliper has exceptional longevity and is able to tolerate tough working situations due to its construction out of stainless steel, which is resistant to corrosion. Because of this attribute, the tool has a longer lifespan and is more reliable, making it appropriate for use over an extended period of time.
The surface of the caliper is made of stainless steel with a satin chrome finish, which effectively reduces glare while the measures are being taken. This enhances visibility and provides accurate readings even in environments with changing levels of light.
There are two primary types of the Mitutoyo Vernier caliper available: the Metric model and the Metric/Inch model. While the Metric type displays measures in millimeters, the Metric/Inch model has dual reading scales that make it simple to convert between metric and imperial units of measurement.
Carbide-tipped jaws are an option made available by Mitutoyo to customers who deal with materials that are more difficult. The increased hardness and endurance provided by these jaws makes it possible to get accurate readings even on challenging substrates.
The Mitutoyo 532-102 caliper is outfitted with a lock screw that maintains the sliding jaw’s position in a safe and secure manner. This prevents any unintended movement from occurring while maintaining the target measurement, which contributes to an increase in the overall accuracy of the instrument.
A vinyl holster is provided by Mitutoyo to store the caliper while it is not being used. This holster ensures that the instrument is kept secure and in good condition. In both transit and storage, the extra protection afforded by the fitted carton packing is much appreciated.
