MEGGER FRAX99 FRAX101 and FRAX150 SWEEP FREQUENCY RESPONSE ANALYSERS
The Scan Frequency Response Analyzer (SFRA) Megger FRAX series detects potential mechanical and electrical problems that cannot be detected by other methods. Large utility and utility companies have been using the FRA approach for more than a decade. The measurement is easy to perform and will capture the unique processor fingerprint.
The measurement is compared with the reference fingerprint and gives a direct answer as to whether the mechanical parts of the transformer have not changed. The offset indicates geometric and/or electrical changes in the transformer.
MEGGER FRAX99
The FRAX99 model serves as a foundational tool within the series. It is designed for basic SFRA needs and is known for its portability and ease of use. This model typically caters to field technicians who require reliable, quick diagnostics without the need for extensive advanced features. The FRAX99 is capable of detecting winding displacements, mechanical deformations, and other potential issues that can impact transformer performance.
MEGGER FRAX101
Building on the capabilities of the FRAX99, the FRAX101 introduces more advanced features, tailored for more comprehensive analysis. This model offers increased precision and the ability to handle a broader range of frequencies, which is vital for detailed transformer assessments. The FRAX101 is particularly suited for utilities and industries where transformers are critical to operational integrity and where detailed diagnostics are necessary to predict potential failures before they occur.
MEGGER FRAX150
The FRAX150 is the most advanced model in this series. It offers the highest resolution and accuracy in the SFRA range, making it ideal for in-depth research and critical analyses. The FRAX150 can conduct tests at a wide range of frequencies, providing a thorough view of the transformer’s condition. Its sophisticated software capabilities allow for complex data analysis and interpretation, which can be integral in managing a fleet of transformers, particularly in settings where the cost of failure is high.
