Overview
The Megger OTD is a fully automatic test set for assessing the quality of insulating oils by measuring their dissipation factor (tan delta), relative permittivity and resistivity. Built around an innovative IEC 60247 test cell in 316L stainless steel and quartz glass, it heats samples to test temperature and runs the complete measurement sequence automatically, giving laboratories and utilities dependable results with minimal operator effort.
With integrated heating up to 110 °C, selectable AC and DC test voltages, and sixteen pre-installed international standards (plus user-programmable sequences), the OTD suits new-oil acceptance, regenerated-oil assessment and routine oil-quality monitoring of transformers, switchgear and HV cables. A colour display, internal printer and USB interface make recording and reporting straightforward.
