Working Principle

The surface roughness of the work item is tested using the needle scanning method using this device.
1.When measuring the surface roughness of a part, the probe is placed on the component’s surface and moved over the surface at a constant speed.

2.By using a sharp stylus within the probe, the surface roughness is acquired.

3. At the output end of the phase-sensitive rectifier, the roughness causes the probe to move, which changes the inductive value of the induction coils and produces an analog signal that is proportional to the surface roughness. This signal is amplified and level converted before entering the data gathering system.

4.The measured results may then be read on an OLED display after the gathered data have been processed using digital filtering and parameter computation by an ARM processor. A Bluetooth printer can print the results.
