Can a normal clamp meter measure earth leakage?
Hioki leakage current clamp meter is most commonly used to measure the earth fault of RCDs to minimize the risk of them tripping, which of course is a major concern when RCDs are viewed as an effective safety tool. Certain regulations state that the total leakage current must not exceed 30% of the RCD nominal residual current.
