The Megger HPA series is a powerful, portable high-voltage test system for AC and DC withstand testing of high-voltage components. The AC models deliver a continuous 100 kV_RMS (HPA 100), 110 kV_RMS (HPA 110) or 120 kV_RMS (HPA 120) at 50 Hz, while the HPA 130 DC provides up to 130 kV DC. Rated at 5 kVA continuous (7.5 kVA for one hour) with low internal noise and a partial-discharge level below 1 pC, the system is well suited to sensitive PD measurements. A two-piece modular design — a separate control unit and high-voltage transformer connected by a 5 m cable set — lets the operator work at a safe distance from the high-voltage source.
