Product Overview

The Mitech MH100 series of pocket hardness meters,also referred to as pen-type hardness testers,are based on the Leeb hardness measuring principle and allow for quick and simple on-site testing of a variety of metal materials. They also support free conversion between the Richter, Brinell, and Rockwell hardness scales, among others.widely employed in inspection, specialized machinery, permanent assembly, failure analysis, and other sectors involving metal processing and manufacturing. Particularly ideal for assessing the hardness of big pieces and non-removable site components.

Working Principle

The impact body’s impact and rebound velocities are used to determine the energy quotient, which is expressed in the hardness unit HL. Because it bounces back from harder samples more quickly than from softer ones, the energy quotient, which is defined as 1000Vr/Vi, is higher.   HL=1000×Vr/ Vi
